  • AAMU Magic City Metro Alumni Chapter

    The AAMU Magic City Metro Alumni Chapter is offering their 2023-2024 scholarship.

  • The Dr. Jonas Tellis “Beat The Odds” Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year. The scholarship amount is $2,000. The recipient will receive $1,000 for Fall 2023 semester, and $1,000 for Spring 2024 semester. 
    The recipient will be notified July 15, 2023

  • The University Network (TUN) lists the 50 best scholarships for high school seniors. They also provide several other resources for students both in high school and college.

  • This nationally renowned program was created by Act 633 and approved October 1947 by the Alabama Legislature. It is administered by the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) and is governed by the Code of Alabama 1975, Section 31-6-1. The veteran must meet the qualifications listed below to establish eligibility of his/her dependents.     Eligibility

    • Must be a resident of Alabama.
    • Must be enrolling in, or attending, an accredited community
      college, technical school, university or approved vocational school in Alabama.
    • Must be enrolled in a residential construction-related trade curriculum:
      •   Carpentry
      •   Electrical
      •   HVAC
      •   Plumbing
      •   Masonry
      •   Construction Management/Technology
